Hormel Foods Recalls Canned Beef Stew Product Due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on May 28 that Hormel Foods Corporation is recalling approximately 256,185 pounds of canned beef stew product that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically wood.
The recalled product is a canned beef stew item containing “Dinty Moore BEEF STEW” with “BEST BY FEB 2028” and lot code “T02045” printed on the 20-oz. metal can. The lot code may have an additional number at the end. View the labels. These recalled items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
