Overview
Our teeth play an essential role in our lives. We eat, talk, and smile with our teeth. Our smile is key to helping us feel good about ourselves and creates confidence in our daily lives.
The Oral Health team collaborates with Cambridge Public Health Department staff and partners to educate the community about oral health and its importance to overall health. Through community outreach and structured programming, the team identifies individuals and families with dental care needs, facilitating access to essential support and guidance. Special emphasis is placed on target populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, expectant mothers and newborns, and individuals in substance use recovery.
Our team administers the Cambridge Healthy Smiles Program, the oral health education program in the Cambridge Public Schools. Cambridge Healthy Smiles prepares students to care for their teeth for a lifetime.
