Honoring Recovery Month this September
Recovery Month, observed each September, affirms that recovery from substance use and mental health challenges is possible, and shows the City’s support for every Cambridge community member in all stages of their recovery journeys. The Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) is hosting several events to honor Recovery Month:
- Virtual Overdose Prevention Training: Tuesday, September 1, 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Zoom
- Recovery Month Book Club: Tuesday, September 8, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Central Square Library (Lewis Room)
- Medication Takeback Event: Monday, September 14, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., North Cambridge Senior Center
- Recovery City Documentary Screening and Discussion: Monday, September 14, 6:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., doors at 5:45, Main Cambridge Library (Lecture Hall)
- Overdose Prevention Kit Assembly Volunteer Event: Thursday, September 24, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Main Cambridge Library (Rossi Room)
