Please join the Cambridge Public Health Department for a film screening and discussion of “Recovery City” in honor of Recovery Month.
This free film screening will take place in the Lecture Hall at the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the film will begin at 6:15 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
The Lecture Hall is on lower level L2 in the new glass and steel building. Youth under 18 are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Please be aware that the film contains sensitive topics such as substance use and recovery, trauma, and incarceration.
About the Film:
A raw exploration of what it means to be in recovery as seen through the eyes of four women whose lives share a common thread: addiction, in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this portrait of resilience, grit, and camaraderie, the women use their lived experience to lift up those still struggling while refusing to give up hope. Click here to learn more.
