What We Do

The Health Equity unit is responsible for equipping the Cambridge Public Health Department and the community with the knowledge, tools, and infrastructure to infuse its programs, policies, and services with a strong and maintained health equity emphasis in both design and implementation. This occurs through assessment and analysis of programs and services using tools that promulgate a health equity lens; community engagement activities with vulnerable populations; advocacy for health in all policies regarding issues affecting Cantabrigians; and provision of education about health equity principles and resources.
