America Red Cross Reports Severe Blood Supply Shortage
Donors are urged to make appointments to donate blood/platelets to help ensure that lifesaving medical procedures are not delayed. Search for a blood drive near you. (1/20/26)
Travel Advisory: South Carolina Measles Outbreak
As of January 27, the South Carolina Department of Public Health has reported 789 measles cases in that state. Everyone 12 months and older should be fully vaccinated against measles, a highly infectious illness. Babies 6-11 months old should have one dose before traveling to an area with a measles outbreak, plus two more later. Take other precautions for babies younger than 6 months who are too young to be vaccinated. (1/23/26)
Although Elevated, Flu Activity is Decreasing in Massachusetts
