Update from the CDC
The Cambridge Public Health Department has received recent inquiries about the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda and how it might impact the Cambridge community.
Per the CDC, “no cases of Ebola disease have been confirmed in the United States because of this outbreak. The overall risk to the American public and travelers remains low.”
CPHD collaborates with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and CDC on all reportable communicable disease responses that require local involvement. In the event of any risk to the public, CPHD will notify the community, as we have done historically for local and international disease outbreaks.
