In Memoriam: Mary Schipellite

Mary C. Schipellite, a retired public health nurse for the Cambridge Public Health Department, passed away on February 25, 2024 at the age of 88. Mary was a graduate of Boston College School of Nursing in 1956. 

Mary was well-loved in the community for the care and compassion she provided to her patients. The Schipellite Chest Center at CHA Cambridge Hospital is named in her honor. “Mary was one-of-a-kind, with a sixth sense about contagion and character,” said Emeritus Chief of Medicine David Bor, MD. “She was completely committed to CHA, her work, and her colleagues.
