Every five years, the City of Cambridge conducts a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment to identify the strengths and areas for improvement related to the health of all who live, learn, work, and spend time in Cambridge. Led by the Cambridge Public Health Department, this assessment process engages partners in various sectors to understand the social determinants of health through an equity lens.

The Community Health Needs Assessment is a requirement for national accreditation and results in a Community Health Improvement Plan.
