Getting an annual flu shot is the best way to protect yourself and your family. It’s not too late to get vaccinated—flu season in New England continues into March.

The Cambridge Public Health Department, 119 Windsor St., is offering free flu shots to adults and children (age 6 months and older) by appointment only.

To schedule an appointment, please call the health department at 617-665-3826. While there is no charge to the public for flu shots, people with health insurance are encouraged to bring their cards with them to the clinics. Vaccine will be offered as long as supplies last.  At this time, FluMist is not available for children.

Flu vaccine is also available through pharmacies (for adults age 18 and older) and doctors’ offices. Flu shots are covered by most Massachusetts health insurance plans.
